The Northern Blast 2012 Announcement is now available and the first application has been received! We hope you are going to join in the fun! We have 3 new fun events this year, Axel Master, Spin like a Top, and Super Spiral. We hope you will try one or all of them out!
Our deepest sympathy goes out to the entire Kebby Family. Long-time club member Scott Kebby, father of Carli, recently passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Scott was an active volunteer and announcer at Northern Blast for many years and a member since 2004. Scott was an awesome man and will be missed by all who knew him.

Congratulations to Trevor Bucek winner of the US Figure Skating National Skating Month Video Contest. The contest was only open to skaters who recently passed their Pre-Preliminary test. They were to describe when they love skating. Great job, Trevor!
Congratulations to Jordan Moeller
His 5th Place Junior Men at the Midwestern Sectional Competiton in Ft Collins, Colorado in November. Jordan just missed a trip to Nationals by about 1 point with his excellent finish. It is Jordan's first year competing as a Junior Man! We are proud of you!

Congratulations Paige and Emily
Paige Rydberg and Emily Finger took 1st and 3rd Place in the Juvenile Girls competition at the 1st Annual IL Grand Prix of Figure Skating last week in Northbrook IL. The Grand Prix is an "invitation only" competition: skaters must qualify be earning points at up to 7 local competitions! Both girls are coached by Mary Alice Antensteiner. Next years Grand Prix will be held on September 23, 2012. Qualifying competitions begin with WIM in March and include Northern Blast.
